Hopefully tomorrow when you check status it will say "Card is being produced" I am sorry about all the troubled you had especially with the doctors. One would hope USCIS does better job vetting its civil surgeons.

Thank you very much! But now everything was fine, a new medical is correct, why would they give me the paper saying that my case is under review and it may take 120 days? Just because he did not have time to go through my case???

I suspect, based on what I saw in other reports that answer is more banal than that: I think it is because it is their standard procedure/response. I saw quite a few people say they got non committal/stone faced response at the end of interview, but few days later their status changed. I hope this will be the case for  you.

We ended up in the same boat, same response when we were doing AOS at the Seattle Field Office. The IO grilled my wife and I first, curtly told my stepson to sit down saying, "I will come for you later."  After swearing in, I think he was doing a very poor rendition of the the "good cop-bad cop" interrogation routine. After brow-beating us for 10-15 minutes, he leaves and goes gets the stepson. After swearing him in, he starts in on his same style of interrogation. I could see the hackles on my wife's neck starting to raise. He "skewered" the kid with some real rapid-firing "off-putting" questions. The IO gets all through, looks through the paper work, and gives us the "I just got your file, and haven't had a chance to fully review it" spiel... He says that he couldn't give us an answer today, maybe in 10-14 days :o .... This was the Monday before Thanksgiving! 🍗 To me, this guy was the north end of a southbound mule!! We drove home so dejected! That evening, my phone kept exploding with notices of incoming text messages from USCIS. Checking them, they went from "card in production" to "decision has been made," several times over. We figured we would take 1 out of 6 messages as the correct one, and celebrated a great Thanksgiving!! 🍗 My wife and stepson got their GCs in about ten days. That was back in 2012, it sounds like USCIS hasn't changed their AOS interview playbook much....

Reading your story, made me recall our own "murky" AOS interview. Hang in there. It will all be worth it in the end.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Thank you very much for sharing your story! Congratulations! I hope everything will be fine with us soon! Did they give you the notice after the interview saying that your case had been held for review?

No actual notice after the interview. Just the verbal BS from the IO saying he wanted to review our file and maybe give us an answer in 10-14 days. In essence, it sounds very similar to the nonsense that you were given, just not as long or protracted.

I think that one big difference that you are facing versus our time under the interrogation lights, is that USCIS, likely all of DHS is quite overwhelmed with work, hence the protracted wait times. The old contraption is sputtering along....barely.  It sounds like they tried their best to roust you around, but you just took care of business, and got stuff corrected. I would give them 30 days and then start rattling their cage, by calling a Tier 1 rep at USCIS. Another avenue you may want to consider is contacting CISOMB, https://www.dhs.gov/topic/cis-ombudsman , filing for case assistance from them. It is about time for you guys to start being able to live your lives again. You gotta be tired of "watching paint dry."

Best wishes on your immigration journey.

Really happy that worked out as I expected, and your long wait is finally over. How long ago did 2 of you get married?
