Visa processing times after interview

Just reading through people's experiences.  I've seen most report waiting approximately 2 weeks for the visa after approval.  But a few this year have reported an issued status next day and pic up at 2go at MOA day or two later.

Anyone know the trends?  Anyone know the reasons behind short or long waits when no additional info is asked for?

It would be great if my fiance and I could fly back together within a week after the interview.  That's the time I've taken off at work to go there and support her in the interview.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Approval at the interview isn't really approval ...   CEAC status needs to show ISSUED.

Once you see CEAC status show ISSUED .. it can take 5-10 business days for delivery  of the visa package.

My fiancé visa was issued 20 days after the interview. Some couples only take a few days, and others longer. It’s definitely stressful. I had my plane tickets for last week, and changed them so I could fly back with her.

I'm on my 7th working days now on AP status. I've learned on a K1 support group in FB that those who were interviewed the same day as mine already got their passport just after 4 days of being interviewed.

It's frustrating but all we can only do is wait and give more patience.

Though I've read a lot here and from @payxibka that when you're status changed to Non-immigrant from Immigrant, then it's really a good sign.

Yes when CEAC status changes over to non-immigrant that is a very good sign.

But will there still be a possibility of extended AP status during the 2nd AP or a denial? Or 2nd AP means your file are just waiting to be packaged?

Our date updated on Monday (after a 221g on May 7) and went to nonimmigrant, k1 is in AP and k2 is in application received.  CEAC is timing out again so I haven't been able to check today.

I found only one post where an applicant in the middle east was denied after going to nonimmigrant (and an extended stay in AP)

Other way around....

Oh, I thought it was Immigrant to Non-immigrant? Because if it's the other way around, then I might have to be concerned a little now.

Once your status moves to Non-Immigrant things will move rather quickly .. ISSUED follows.

Hi all,

I would like to share my experience.

My interview date was April 29 then, under 221g (additional docs)but I already send requested docs to USEm manila.

From May 3 to May 7 they touched my case -immigrant under AP.

Then May 13 change to nonimmigrant-AP.

Im so worried its been 3weeks from the date they received my docs.  😥😥
