Hi all, I'm trying to get an estimate of processing times but don't know which office or service center to pick from the list.. I will be sending I-485, I-765 and I-131 in about 6-8 weeks and will be requesting to expedite the AP. Do I choose which center to send to or is it by my home address?

Thanks!

Use this link to find your local field office: https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/field-offices

The I-765 and I-131 are all processed at the NBC, not at your LFO. The current processing times are 5-7 months.

K1?

Your timeline is empty. Please fill that out in order for group members to provide answers more accurately and also so you can contribute to the VJ stats that everyone benefits from.

If you are a K1 your AOS package will be sent to Chicago. The I485 instructions will tell you that under where to file. Please read form instructions before proceeding with any USCIS application.

https://www.uscis.gov/i-485-addresses

From there it will be sent to the National Benefits Center (NBC) in MO for processing. Each form is processed separately.

EAD and AP are processed entirely at the NBC at the current rate of 5 to 7 months.

AOS is reviewed at the NBC for completeness and then sent to your local field office (LFO) to sit in line for an interview. Your LFO is based on your zip code. You can determine that here:

https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/field-offices

And then once you know your LFO you can look up the estimated processing times of your LFO here by selecting I485 and your LFO.

https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

Scroll to the bottom and look at the estimated processing times for family-based adjustment applications.

I re-read your message and realized you're asking different questions. What I wrote above is correct, but all the forms get sent together to the USCIS Chicago LockBox. Then the I-485, at some point, gets forwarded to the LFO.

Address for the lockbox is on that link.

Local office is based on your zip code but you don't send it there.  The uscis will

YMMV

Thanks so much everyone for the useful information!!! 🤗 Didn't realize the forms are processed in different places...

What if I am not in the US while I wait for I-485 updates? There is a good chance I will be in Canada.

If you leave before your AP or GC your case will be abandoned.

Then you will be fine :) Just download the app and keep track of your case/maybe have someone check the mail in case you should be called for the interview while you are in CA.

Thanks :)My question is will my case still be processed by my local office? My fiance may end up selling the house by the time my case is ready for an interview...

Yes at some point it will because of the interview you are going to have.

If you move to a new city, you'll need to notify USCIS. I believe the case would probably be transferred to the new local office.

Right... but is there a local office in Canada?

No.  AOS interviews are always conducted inside the US.
