Asking for a friend who got a job offer /J1 visa. She has a 3yr Old from previous marriage & is wondering if the other biological parent’s consent is required to apply for J2. I told her she most probably need it but thought of confirming here with experts

@Randyandyuni, thanks for responding ..She’s from India but dropped the idea of moving to US as her ex most probably won’t give consent
