Hello everyone,

I’m really nervous about filing the first set of paperwork for my fiancé on my own. If I fill something out incorrectly or if I don’t send enough of/proper evidence will they automatically deny the visa or will they contact me to clarify/provide additional information?

Thank you!

Usually don't see a lot of denials immediately.  Depending on the problem with the 129F petition, USCIS usually either entirely rejects & returns the entire package or sends you an RFE for more evidence........studying and following the guides and asking questions usually yields positive results.....good luck.

I was nervous when I first started the process.  If you are confident you can read forms and follow the instructions and include at least the minimum required evidence you should have not issues.  I believe the only thing driving an outright rejection of the I129F petition is missing required information that the instructions clearly explain.  As to being denied a K1 visa at the consulate phase, many more factors come into play at that point then filling out forms, etc.

Good Luck!

Even if you hire someone to do it you will have to gather the supporting documents, evidence and information required. That’s much more of an effort than filling out the form... IMO

I guess it would be the petition. I’m so new to this, I’m still getting used to the process and the different terms and lingo.

Understood.   Correct answers are predicated on which phase of the process you are in.

YMMV
