Been refused my K1 visa

Pictures were taken in the church, restaurant home just like any couples will do, kissing , holding each other n so on so I don’t understand why,

He said he wants to seek advice from a a lawyer first but he will be coming to visit me in the UK and if possible go get married in our native country for our relatives to take part

Ah, we’re all photos taken by the same third party? sounds like they thought the photos were staged (taken only for immigration purposes and not natural situations) like preplanned and posed rather than candid photos taken on the spur of the moment.

I'm thinking "Staged" would be a better word than "faked".  the interviewer probably did not believe there was a real relationship and that the pictures were "staged" to give it the appearance that there was a relationship there.  Pictures of the couple WITH family, gatherings, etc is far more powerful than posed pictures that someone was asked to take of the couple.

I think she is trying to say that the CO thought that the photos were staged.

100% true. Co asked me to show other photos. She didn’t even look at my wedding photos.

Maybe the photos were taken on the same day? Like same clothes maybe? I mean COs won’t suspect any case for nothing.

Not all photos were taken on the same day  n there were a lot of selfie pics too but just two of the photos that he emphasized on it

THe photos combined with other relationship evidence (Whatever you supplied) was not enough for them to decide it was a bonafide relationship. With our K1 packet we sent probably 2 dozen photos, taken by us (selfie types), by others, with family, friends, at different events or activities - over the span of 3 years and 40+ visits. We also had extensive travel records and other documentation.

 

It sounds like more in person time, and photos and evidence that do not appear to be 'staged', is in order. Or, marry and file a CR1. i doubt that one or two 'nicer' photos if submitted with a plethora of other solid evidence would cause a denial .

Ok....I know what the OP means. EXACTLY what my lawyer warned me NOT TO DO...If anyone out there is about to start K1 petition READ THIS....do not, do not, do not..have someone take professional photos of the both of you and send only those or someone taking photos of you "purposely posing together" for the sake of having photos together. Especially if its all you sent. It is grounds for denial. There is a difference between taking random photos of yourselves in different places, cute selfies together, with his or her families, group gatherings, vacation snap shots AND taking photos where you both are posing for the sake of "having photos together". Thats why they were denied. A few photos of all the same.
