Please what should we do?

To be blunt - you’re looking for some kind of magic solution where there just isn’t one. The only thing she can really do that you know for sure won’t lead to problems is for her to go home when her i94 runs out. Did she not have any kind of plan of what to do when she arrived with her kids and put them in school?

Begs the question why there is a we.

I have no understanding of the situation as a whole, just a few glimpses. See a Lawyer?

As already suggested, there are two possible things your fren can do. You can’t do anything.

1. Best option:  Return back to her home country and travel back again may be next year or so if she wants to visit again. This is what she signed up for by visiting US on a B2 visa.

2. Risky option: Apply for extension. With over 3 months of processing time, If approved she is fine, if denied she will be accumulating unlawful presence which will likely nullify her existing B2 visa.

We?

She returns to her country before i94 expires. She got a visitor visa by showing ties to her country. Presumably those ties to her country are still strong. And if she really wants to study in the US, she returns home to her country and applies for an i20 (college admission) and a student visa interview.
