Hello VJ buds, I don’t know if Oakland park will be where my wife and i go for the AOS green card interview but she had her biometrics done here Monday. We are K1 and I was wondering where our interview would be and anyone else had a AOS K1 interview there? I’m mainly wondering about the interviewer? My wife is learning English and i can do a decent job translating but I wonder if the interviewer for us will know Spanish? If not would I be allowed to translate? Again my wife knows a little English and gets better every day. Because this is south Florida most people in government/business offices know Spanish but wondering about this?

Thanks.....this was vague about using the spouse as interpreter so hoping either they will speak Spanish or my wife’s English is good enough or I can assist.

Of course this is green card time not visa and USCIS not the embassy but just food for thought the embassy employees were bilingual...hoping because we live in the safest place in Latin America ummm.... I mean south Florida they speak Spanish

There are quite a few posts on the topic "Can I interprete for my spouse at our Greencard interview?" that I just googled and scrolled through. Most say they would say you're biased. And most say you can't guarantee you'll get a bilingual officer.

I'd take a look.
