Hi!

Our case was sent to the embassy at the end of June (June 26), as of July 19th the CEAC site said that it was ready to book our interview, but I still don’t have an email for the P3 from the embassy. When I search other timelines people have received their P3s. Does anyone have any advice, why is it taking so long? I emailed last week and got a general email back apologizing for processing times.

Hey! Our case was sent to the embassy at the end of June and finally changed to "ready" on July 10th I believe, so I completed my DS-160 that night and sent in packet 3 on July 12th. I received the standard response saying that they were not ready for it yet, so I resent it this Monday, July 22nd and on the following day I received packet 4 via email! I think two weeks after it changes to "ready" you can send packet 3 without first receiving their request and it should be okay, although I have seen people send it a few days after the ready status and get packet 4 back, too. I think it's worth a try, as you may never actually get packet 3 if you keep waiting.

When I went through this process, I sent my packet soon as I got the first "ready" and got confirmation 12 hours later that they acknowledged my submission and got sent my Packet 4 right after.

Hey!

That is interesting, we have similar timelines, and my P3 and P4 were only emailed to me because I emailed them. I did eventually get the P3 by mail but by then I had already received the emailed P4.

What day, if you don't mind me asking, does it say your file was last updated on the CEAC website? And, is the status at 'Ready'?

@DreAndKi are right!

Yea, I've seen that happen for some people, which is awesome! I think it just depends on how busy they are.

Agreed - I think they are waiting through quite a backlog...

Waiting for these interview appointments to open up is quite an anxiety-inducing process... 😂

Hi!

It was updated July 19th and yes it says Ready.

I emailed today and got the standard cut and paste response “under review” “sorry for long processing times”. Word for word the same response I got last Friday, the 19th (before I checked the CEAC site and saw the update)

so frustrating!
