I would organize them in the order it says on the packet 4. When you get to the consulate they tell you to organize them differently. I don’t remember the exact order but I wrote down to the best of my memory a few posts back in this thread.

I don’t know about the birth certificate. Wouldn’t hurt to bring it if you have it.

They didn't snail me any physical copy but would the packet 4 be the same thing they sent by email?

It talked about how to schedule my appt, fees, medical exam, day of interview (list of what to bring), etc

They ask for your long form birth certificate at your interview. Yours isn’t Canadian so I would bring the original, a photocopy, a certified translation (if it’s not in English), and your immigration documentation. You will definitely need the birth certificate, so it won’t hurt to bring all of your records just in case they ask!

It would be terrible to get this far and go into administrative processing pending your Canadian immigration documents!

Omg thank you so much

I can't even imagine if that did happen, I'm not a good waiting person >.<

For those of you who already got your visa, how long before it went from "Application Received"  to Processing etc... after you were approved. I had my interview today and was approved and it says  "Application Received and ready for the interview?!

Hi,

thank for sharing your experience.

concerning the I-94, I saw on their website we have to apply online in CBP website and then apper at the POE within 7 days.

you did that or they just did it at the POE ?

Also I'm going to prepare a packing list of my personal and households items as well, you said they had you fill out additional import form,

do you remember which form was it, I would like to look for it now and fill asap to smooth the process.

Thank you very much

I did not apply online for the I-94, I had just planned on asking about it at the POE and they printed it off for me there. From my understanding, since the I-94 went digital recently, a lot of the info online about getting it is outdated. If anyone had a different experience at POE though let us know!

This is the form they had me fill out there (3299): https://www.cbp.gov/sites/default/files/documents/CBP Form 3299.pdf

Instead of copying everything from my packing list, they just stapled a copy of the packing list I had prepared to the back. I'm not sure if every officer would do that though, another might require everything be all on the form.
