So my interview is next week, starting to have anxiety!

In the interview what did they ask for for proof of relationship?

My interview is on Wednesday. I’m bringing the following:

Letter of intent to marry.

Wedding dress receipt.

Engagement ring receipt.

Copy of wedding venue booking.

Copies of text messages.

Photos that are time stamped.

It does seem like the only thing they really ask for is the letter of intent to marry.

I just listed supporting documents in my letter.

Hey guys! My medical exam is on Thursday in Montreal, and I was wondering if anyone who's done theirs there could tell me how their experience was?

Also I was asked to bring my P4 documentation to my appointment, which includes the "embassy letter." Does anyone know which letter its referring to?

Hi, I printed off the email saying I could book, as well as my receipt from paying for my interview and the confirmation of the date and time of my interview.

Hey,

SoI just finished my interview in Montreal with my son.

My appointment was at 8am and I got there at 7:30am. There were 7 people ahead of us.

First, they took our appointment letter and then our passports and put a sticker on them and gave them back.

Next we went through security and into a holding area to organize documents. When you organize them do it with the originals and copies together. I did a binder with plastic pages and it was kinda useless. I wish I would have just done a folder with paper clips or tabs.

Next, we took and elevator to the 19th floor where you wait to be called up to the window for document verification and fingerprints. (For affidavit of support I provided tax returns for 2017/2018 w2 for 2018 and employment letter.) they didn’t ask for the bank statements or bank letter but if you have it it wouldn’t hurt. They take your docs and copies and tell you to wait to be called again to the interview window. It took until 9:30 before we were called. Maybe bring a book. We were called to the window and the lady there had us swear an oath and did fingerprints again. The only question she asked my son was if I was his mom.

She asked me the following:

1. Your sons father passed away after you divorced?

2. Has your fiancé been married?

3. How often do you see your fiancé?

4. Have you been to visit him in the Hawaii?

5. What is your longest stay in the USA?

6. Have you ever had trouble crossing the border?

7. What does your fiancé do for work?

Then boom... you’re approved. You will receive your passports in two weeks.

Yay!

Ask me any questions you want.

Congrats!!!! That is so exciting.

So I have also used a binder with plastic sleeves for all the documents... you suggest using a file folder instead? Did you have any stabled? I stapled the I134. Thoughts?

Thank you.

If I were to do it again I would do a file folder or just stack the documents and separate them with sticky’s.

I guess the binder works too but for me it got in the way more than it helped.

I paper clipped the I-134 but staples would work. Have your appointment letter on top of everything cause that’s the first thing you’ll need.

I think the order after that was something like:

proof of payment

passports and copies

pictures

birth certificate and copies

letter of intent

medical

criminal record docs

divorce docs

i-134

... I think.
