Hey - yeah you're not allowed to open it but maybe take your vaccination papers in with you and have a conversation at the reception. Dr Mascarenhas office, gave us a document like this https://photos.state.gov/libraries/thailand/591452/iv/ds3025.pdf proving vaccinations. The reason for the vaccinations is that they are mandatory during the AOS process - it will be okay for the interview and getting the K1 visa, it might mean having to do another medical again in the US!

Thanks!! 🙏🏼

Hello guys!

another question!

how about the middle names?

my medical has a middle name but my son’s medical doesn’t. Is that okay?

they said because the US only asked for the given name and last name but if it were me I often just place the middle name with the given name because our PH passports have the middle name. Oh my. This medical office is the best! 🤨

PS. Medical office won’t change it. Said its okay. I dont trust them LOl omg im so stressed out

I hear ya. My medical has an extra number in the MTL case # and they used a pen and just crossed out the extra 1 and it's making me nervous. I really hope they also crossed it out in the sealed packet...

I think we're all panicking too much over the interview, though. A middle name probably won't cause them to deny your whole case, as the passport photos and first and last name match! The K1 visa isn't as legally binding as the AOS so I'm sure we will all be okay :)

I have a few questions regarding the I-134 supporting documents:

1. Is everyone bringing tax return transcripts OR am I supposed to be bringing a different form with me + W2s? I read somewhere on VisaJourney that if you bring the tax return transcripts then the W2s aren't necessary. I know some of you have interviews approaching, so can someone please clarify. This part is stressing me out.

2. Letter from the bank. My Fiance just moved to Michigan and the closest bank that he's with is a 50 minute drive away. Do we really need this letter? Is everyone bringing it with them? OR is there another great solution that someone else has used or is using.

Thanks everyone.

Hi!

So we are providing the following:

1. Tax returns for last two or three years

2. W2s for this year

3. Letter of employment with his role, salary, how he gets paid etc... signed by his boss

4. A print out of his bank account from online showing the balance, that we got stamped and signed by the bank, they didn’t do a letter...

Hi Everyone,

For those of you who already booked a hotel for October interviews, i noticed prices went down a little (at least with Marriott, I try to stay with them cause of points and I am a gold member from when I used to travel a lot for work)... anyway I cancelled my original reservation and rebooked at the better rate... saved just over 50 dollars with the new rate after taxes.

Hey similar to  @KenandBina I am bringing:

1. Tax returns for the last three years and W2s for this year

2. Letter of employment with his employment start date, his position, his salary and that it's a full-time permanent position, signed and dated by his manager (His manager also included six months of pay stubs to prove employment - feel like this last bit was unnecessary)

3. Letter from the bank stating when he opened the account, the total average balance over the last year, the current balance on the account, this letter is dated and signed by a bank manager

4. A list containing serial numbers and denominations of bonds

5. Since we could not get deposits made for the last year, my fiancé sent me a report with the monthly balance over the past twelve months. This isn't signed or dated.

I have my interview on the 11th of this month, fingers crossed all goes well, I'll report back if there's anything said about the financial documents, and if the monthly balance printout is an okay substitute!

Oh I forgot, on top of his salary he gets his military monthly retirement check, so bringing the pay stubs for that as well. His salary plus his retirement puts him way way over the minimum needed. So not too worried

Thank you for your responses & help. By tax returns, that's form 1040, correct? And by W2s for this year, do you mean W2s for the 2018 tax year? I want to be 100% sure I bring all the correct tax information. Thanks again.

Sorry,  yes I am bringing the copies of the form 1040 - for the tax years 2018, 2017, 2016 and the W2 2018.  But I think you can also order an IRS transcript  (which is not necessary for this but will be necessary for the AOS phase, but to me - that feels like future problems, lol 😂)

P.S. The 2018 Form 1040 is supposed to look different from the previous years - I had completely forgotten that the Administration had changed the tax code and went through this long back and forth with my partner about sending the wrong documents.... 😂
