I have a question I’ve been curious about. Do the documents my fiance sends me that I have to submit (lease agreements, letters from the bank, W2s, pay cheques, etc.) also have to be dated and signed by him on the bottom of the page? We did this when we submitted the I129F. Is that necessary? of course the letter of intent must be signed. But other than that?

Don't have anything signed but haven't come across this before... please let us know if you find out otherwise!

i have a k2. does the $50 courier fee includes two reports already, if you aware, or pay $100 for two reports?

I don't know, but the way it is phrased on their website I think it might be per report? Might be prudent to email and check - they reply quite quickly

I went to Dr Lee in Scarborough yesterday and I find him “off” and he never even smiled! I’m just used to pleasant and nice family doctors. Anyway he told me that my son and I lacked certain vaccines despite telling him our fam doc said we are up to date. He just said “your k1 and vaccines aren’t mandatory”? Weird? So it’s okay? He didn’t tell me to go back to my fam doc and get vaccinated to continue. He just sent me off to do the bloodwork and xray and said they will call me after a week with the results and if they are ready with the package already. 🙄🙄🙄

Hey - sorry just read this and wanted to bring up that while the K1 vaccines aren't mandatory (which is the first time I have heard this), to immigrate you do need to have certain vaccinations (https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/laws-regs/vaccination-immigration/revised-vaccination-immigration-faq.html)

So, it might be better to follow-up with the doctor's office again otherwise, you might have to re-do the medical once you file for Adjustment Of Status (AOS) in the US!

Part of the AOS package is the I-485 form, and supplemental to that is the Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record (Form I-693)... which we don't need to fill out since the proof of vaccinations is in the medical we did now, and we'll apply for AOS within a year of moving to the US...

Not having that proof of vaccinations may be a hiccup in the process, don't want to have you to pay for another expensive medical once you move!

Edited to add: Sorry, just realized @Buster & Hitch said the same thing as well - cosigning that! 😊

Also, I don't have a family doctor, so I had to get someone at a walk-in clinic to verify my vaccination papers and take a blood sample to confirm that I had had chickenpox!

Can anyone else tell me what their police clearance says ? I got mail from RCMP but it’s basically just a short thing that says there’s was nothing found and they destroyed my fingerprint record. Is that all it is? When I get a police clearance through the city without fingerprints (I have to have these for work), I feel like it’s a much more official looking document. Is what I got the same as everyone else? Or is this some sort of like heads up before they send out the actual doc??

Thank you 😇😇

It was my thought as well when i received the RCMP cert. The Region of Peel Police certificate looks more authentic than the RCMP Certified criminal record check. (I went to the Police station before I learned that we need the RCMP one. $37 bye-bye!)

I did the same thing getting one through the city first. Mine cost me over $50 though! So sad but poor planning on my part. I shouldn’t have jumped to the conclusion

I’m pretty sure someone has asked this before but I need to ask again since my Fiance and I forgot to sign our forms while he was here this long weekend. Is it ok if the forms are signed and sent to me to print or do they have to be in wet ink? Thanks!

i think you need wet ink signatures for the affidavit of support and the letter of intent to marry.

Hey, found this for the I-864 form on the state department website which is submitted with IR1/CR1 and AOS applications, I am guessing there is applicability for the I-134 as well:

"Family-based visa applications

- A signed Affidavit of Support from your petitioner and any additional financial sponsors who submitted a Form I-864 on behalf of your visa application.  Applicants may bring photocopies and scanned versions of signed Forms I-864 and associated documents. (Please note that the form must still be signed; typed names and electronic signatures will not be accepted.)"

SOURCEhttps://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/interview/interview-prepare/required-documents.html

However, if you go through this forum people are divided on whether or not you need wet signatures, most long-time members recommend just having the petitioner mail you the signed form! Hope this helps!

Hey all, I know we've talked about proof of relationship before, I just wanted to ask how you guys are organizing the extra information like pictures, and text messages... also are you just taking screenshots of conversations you have had throughout the months?

Thanks in advance!

I just took screenshots and put them in a word document with typed captions for each photo or set of photos. I did this for the I-129F and will do again for update proof :)

I took random screenshots of messages between us. Tried to get starts of conversation so they would have the date on them but it didn’t always work out that way
