Hey everyone, in regards to the affidavit, if you go to the I-134 form instructions on the uscis website it says that you need the letter from the bank with the present balance, date account was opened and total amount deposited in the last year. Along with that you need the letter from the employer dated 30 days prior to the interview with the type of employment and salary. My fiancé and I got these, although everyone who writes reviews says that they’re only asked for the 2018 tax transcript or tax return. So along with those bank docs we have a copy of his 2018 tax transcript and 2018 tax return. I feel it’s better to have too much than not enough.

Oh man! Our employment letter is signed over a month from the interview date if that's the case. Maybe I am missing something - where exactly does is say the employment letter has to be signed and dated within 30 days of the interview? This is all I see copied and pasted from the I-134 instruction document on the USCIS website:

"B. Statement(s) from your employer on business stationery showing: (1) Date and nature of employment; (2) Salary paid; and (3) Whether the position is temporary or permanent."

The instructions also say to provide “any” of the documents, not necessarily “all” of the documents.

Question regarding the police certificate.
Do they need to be a month old or would they still be ok if I got them done in May/June for my September 18th appointment ?
I have lived in the US, France and Canada so I want to make sure I have everything "recent" enough and don't get delayed fro these.

Also, do your Canadian one look this the below ?

Thanks guys!

Sorry, you’re right. I must have just read that on a thread here because now when I go to the instruction page it doesn’t say within 30 days. Sorry!! My bad.

Supposed to be done within one year of your interview. I had mine done in January thinking we’d be long done this whole process by now (we sent our packet in August 30, 2018 :(( )

I feel you... Did mine once I knew the NVC had our file. Was too scared that things would take longer than they already were..

You sent your documents in August ? How come it is only being ready now ?
I sent mine on February 6th 2019.. I feel like things are almost fast for us..

My Canada one looks exactly like that. I thought it was valid for 6 months prior to interview.  I could be wrong though.

Me either. My packet arrived at the embassy June 27. Sigh.

My status was updated July 19 to ready and oddly enough again this past Friday it said it was updated to ready.

Omg! I emailed on the 19th and the 26, on the 26 I pointed out my NOA2 expires in September, they just said to attend the interview when scheduled and they will determine extending it (if approved). But no P3! I’m waiting 48 hrs and then just sending it all in and see what happens

Very good point! Easy to read over that!
