Mine expires on September 9th & my interview is on September 25th. Having the same problem... except it’s a couple weeks.

How long did it take to get your P3? Did you send it in before they sent it to you? Mine expires Sept 25 and I don’t have my P3 yet!?

Hey I just read on another thread that it’s an automatic renewal. Several people mentioned attending their interview in Montreal with an expired NOA2 and no mention was made of it. Just make sure your letter of intent to marry reflects the date of the interview and not the NOA2 expiry.

I sent in my P3 before I got it in the mail. Once I had my 2nd ready. Fill out all the information on the P3 and email it to them today. You might be able to get your p4 by monday.

From everything I’m read online, it’s a non issue. As long as you have an interview booked, your file is considered active. The expiry date is really no fault of ours and a few others that have had expired ones at the interview said the officer didn’t care at all and just extended it.

Now that most of us have interview dates coming up...

What supporting documents will you bringing along with your I-134 (Affidavit of Support)?

I know we need to bring my fiances tax summary for 2018...but do we need 2017 & 2016? What other document should I bring? Recent pay stubs, W2s? Do I really need a letter from the bank? What should it say? Getting confused about this part. If someone could share what they've taken in the past or what they're planning on taking that would be awesome so that we could all refer to it.

Personally I have gathered:
-a letter from his bank showing when he opened the account how much money is on it.
- his tax from from 2018 only
- his lease to prove his address (just in case)
-a letter from his job saying he is "full time permanent employee" with his annual salary
- his last few paystubs

Can I add onto this and ask, do all the bank letters and the employment letters have to be dated within the last 30 days before the appointment?

I am going to take:

  • statement from the bank stating when the account was opened and present balance. His bank, no matter what, does not give a letter with last twelve months of deposits so we are trying to circumvent this by giving 12 months of statements.
  • IRS Transcripts and W-2s for the last three years (but this might be overkill, I think you only really need the previous years)
  • Letter from his employer stating the date he started, what the role is, his annual salary and that it is a "full-time permanent position"

How do you guys recommend we show pay stubs if it's direct deposit?

Also, check out this link from the K-1 guide, they have some additional documents they suggest bringing if your petitioner is self-employed (https://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide/)

Hey, I saw in your last post your status changed on the 19th of July and you had them emailed on Friday as well,  did you email through the Public Inquiry form here

We got our paper P3 last week, but I had emailed them a week (15th July) after my second Ready on the CEAC website (8th July), and they replied the next day saying that I should send in the P3 documents.  I hope you hear from them soon!

In regards to affidavit of support do we need to bring more than the actual affidavit, w2, tax return, and a letter from his employer stating position and salary?

I know people are talking about bringing pay stubs and bank statements as well but are those required? Or just extra evidence?

Hi! I sent my first email July 19th to the direct email address I found online and got a standard copy and paste response about sorry it takes so long etc etc. I checked CEAC later that day and it said we were ready to book an interview (and it had last been updated that day, the 19th). I decided to wait for the P3 email this past week. When I had not received it by Friday (2 days ago) I emailed through the public inquiry site and got the same cut and paste response almost immediately.

I am going to do my Ds160 today and just send in the P3 and see what happens. I am not sure what else to do? Our NOA2 expires September 25 2019, out Noa1 was September 7 2018... we had an rfe, which they didn’t send to us until March 6 2019, this is getting ridiculous! :((

Sometimes there is a program associated with payroll that the employee can access electronically, or they can ask the HR/Payroll department for a paper copy of the pay stub. For example, my work uses a program called PayWorks, and I have direct deposit, but I can also log onto the PayWorks website and print any pay stub I want from any pay period. Maybe he has access to a similar site? If not, I'm sure he can contact HR and have them print or email him whichever pay stubs he requests! I know my fiance also has direct deposit and he doesn't know how to access his pay stubs either, so maybe the online portals are just a Canadian thing. He is going to contact HR and see if they can send them!

I made sure that I photocopied the entire i-129F packet before we filed it, but does anyone think I need to bring it to the interview? The petition was obviously approved and we're submitting more evidence of our relationship and a new letter of intent, I'm just not sure if I should bring a copy of the whole thing too. I don't want to bring unnecessary documents and have the officer be annoyed with the extra paperwork!

Hey everyone, in regards to the affidavit, if you go to the I-134 form instructions on the uscis website it says that you need the letter from the bank with the present balance, date account was opened and total amount deposited in the last year. Along with that you need the letter from the employer dated 30 days prior to the interview with the type of employment and salary. My fiancé and I got these, although everyone who writes reviews says that they’re only asked for the 2018 tax transcript or tax return. So along with those bank docs we have a copy of his 2018 tax transcript and 2018 tax return. I feel it’s better to have too much than not enough.

Hey, I did the same but I’m planning to bring it just in case. My fear is that I won’t bring something and they’ll ask for it then it won’t be approved. I made a folder with extra things that I don’t think they will ask for as well as a folder of things that I know they will to kind of separate everything and make it easier/faster to arrange my documents.
