Congratulations ! That's great news.

One question... you say they took your Son's Gameboy off Him. Were you able to take anything into the Embassy? What about mobile phone's and overnight bag. Do they store it for you at the door?

Good luck for the future.

They took my mobile phone off me (they saw it in my bag when it went through the x-ray and asked me to take it out and gave me a cloakroom ticket so I could get it back later) - but I've seen at least one other person on here say that their phone wasn't taken off them, although that might have been an oversight! They only have a small hut so don't think they'll keep your whole bag (if they took everyone's bags just for being 'big', they'd run out of room pretty quick...), just anything in it that they don't want you to take into the embassy - I think that would include cameras etc. I'm sure other people can confirm whether you'd be allowed to take your overnight bag in with you (I only lived about a mile away, so pretty much only had my purse, door key & interview-related stuff with me!), but my guess would be 'yes'. :)

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png

Okay Thanks. That's not so bad then. I was thinking they didn't allow you take anything beyond the door.

Yes, they took my mobile off me, but I did see a couple with a small suitcase, the size of carryon luggage.

Thing is, do you REALLY want to risk it rather than leaving it at a hotel?

The Embassy does say specifically that they can't store luggage.....Also was a pain to walk ALL the way back a round the building to pick up the stuff stored!

(if you're lazy like me lol!)

When I was sitting waiting to be called, it suddenly hit me on how much my life depended on 5 minutes of someone else's time, was a SCARY thought!!

I kept reassuring myself that I haven't ever heard of a denial through London apart from one poster, but then I thought I could always be the odd one out!

But I guess nothing will ever be as hard and as stressful as this, not scared of AOS at all, the baby's birth cert alone should get us through!

Just out of curiosity...who was the person who was denied...?

Thanks again for all the comments :)

I read somewhere in the archive about a couple, the lady was the USC and her partner had I think had accepted a caution for having a small amount of marijuana in his pocket while going abroad....I think that was the gist of the story!!

Oh yes, I do vaguely remember that. We're just starting to get paranoid in the run-up to the interview (starting? hah! more like continuing!).
