My husband and I just realized that we mistakenly took the expired forms from VJ's Examples section for our AOS and EAD applications. (I know, there's a big bold disclaimer there - I can't believe myself that we did this! :crying: ) Now all forms are expired and no longer acceptable, except for the Affidavit of Support.

Did anyone else ever send in expired forms? Should we just expect to get our applications denied? It's very upsetting because they already accepted our applications, cashed our checks, scheduled the biometrics.. We sure don't want to go through all this, wait for months, only to have to start over! But maybe there's nothing else we can do at this point :crying:

If they wouldn't like the forms you used they would return the whole packet to you without cashing your checks and tell you to send everything back with the right forms. But since they didn't do it and even sent you out the NOAs it means they accepted your application and now it will be processed. Good luck :)

Most forms are acceptable unless major changes were made. But since you have NOA1 they accepted your forms so you are fine just like Anastasia mentioned. Good luck on your journey.

Thanks for your responses, guys. We hope that our application will not run into any major problems (or at worst just an RFE). I'm usually very detail-oriented so realizing we made this kind of mistake is very frustrating!

Understandably frustrating for you. Try to stay positive and think, if that's the worst thing that could happen to your case (that you used the wrong forms), it sounds like you'll do just fine!
