I was interviewed May 14, last week, the consul never asked for any supporting documents like ITR, W2, Employment letter, He just asked a few questions (the basics, like how me and my fiancee met, when was the last time we met personally and when did we first met) and said that my visa is approved then handed me the pamphlets. Is it normal that they won't ask for the supporting documents? Especially that W2 is one of the requirements for the interview.

Now I'm on AP status on CEAC for 5 working days already with no status updates/history. Tho I'm confident with our application, there is still that little something that bothers me about not submitting the supporting documents.

Thanks.

Not a problem.  Consulate Officers have discretion as to what they want to see.......AP is also normal......

No need to worry at all.  While you are required to bring those documents, they are not required to ask or look at them.

AP is normal, so all you need now is a little patience.

Good luck

Finally done.

Very normal these last few years for the CO to not ask for support evidence.   No worries if the CO didn't ask for them, all is good.

Support evidence is still listed as required so ya have to be prepared, but like said, they don't always ask for it, been seen this since 2014

Everyone does their time in AP .. it will bounce from AP to READY .. then finally ISSUED!

Thanks for the reassurance! Now, another waiting game for us then.

Has your ceac status changed from immigrant to nonimmigrant?

YMMV

I'm checking both just to be sure. Both are on AP status.

What do you mean by both?  MNL# and DS160 number?

Read the response window carefully.

YMMV

What could it possibly mean anyway? I tried checking on Immigrant Visa (MNL#) but it just keeps loading like on the pic.

Unlike when I check on Non-immigrant, the response window immediately shows.

It means they (the IV unit who interviewed) have sent the file to the NIV unit for finalizing and if all goes well,  issuance

Ahh, I was actually hoping and will be glad to see if it goes from AP then Ready then back to AP and Ready again, because then I know that my files are being reviewed by that time. Or is that only a case to case basis?

By the way, you're talking about this on the green circle, right?
