Happy last Wednesday of May everyone. I, for one, would like to say how sad I am to see that Julianna's countdown has been closed. I have read her blog religiously since I found it, and I greatly enjoyed all the little tidbits of information, silly thoughts, and ramblings about the things she was doing to prepare for her husbands arrival. Everyone is different as we all know. What may be important to one, may not be important to another. After all the time they have waited to start their lives together, I thought it was great that she could still have any humor left in her. To think that she had any intention to deliberately make a nasty comment about is, in my opinion, just ridiculous. It is sad that anyone found the content offensive.

When I found vj, I thought it was such a cool idea. People from all over the world getting together to share their own experiences, being supportive of each other. That any one else would care about my frustrations, fears, anticipations, was just amazing to me. To be able to post comments, ask questions, gather information.

Now it seems that it has become a place for nasty comments, and on board fighting. In the end, who really cares if my husband gets his visa? Who really cares if he is denied? Who cares if he goes thru 2 weeks of AP, or 12 months? No one except myself.

So, from the heart, I wish everyone here who is waiting the best of luck. I hope God blesses all of you with the things you want, and that which makes you happiest.

I don't know if I will continue to read vj, or to post on vj, not that I think any one really cares.

My life has been blessed with the love of 4 of the sweetest men in the world. James, Jonathan, Nicolas, and Islam, my sons and my S/O.

OPSSSSSSS I DID IT AGAIN!

Well... I for one care what happens in your case..because I joined vj to get and offer support to others going through this frustrating and sometimes heartbreaking process. I was enjoying that thread greatly because it was a lighter side to everything we have to go through. I'm a religious blogger and some of my stuff is probably inane to most, but the great thing about that is that if you dont want to read something or you consider it a waste of your time...your mouse didnt click there by itself. As a southern girl born and bred my mama taught me if you cant say something nice dont say anything. Sometimes, people ask for opinions and input...and at that point yes you do open yourself to everyones different personalities and ideas, but otherwise.....

I am sad to see things haven't changed much here. I don't come on as often now that my husband is here but I do search for people who need good advice and help.

Do as I do, if you see a thread turn nasty just move on without reading or responding. We have the option to not get involved. There really is a great amount of knowledge and help here for those still waiting so don't throw that away.

'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride'

well, I am here too. the nasty threads are a drag but I've been a VJ member for more than 3 years and its still an addiction even though I dont post as much. To echo what others have said, MY mamma taught me that sometimes silence is golden :)

I just like to keep up with everyone!

im sorry to see that boredom can result in other member's choosing to leave. it dosen't need to be this way.

I've "left" before too b/c I was sick of other peoples #######.... unfortunately, I'm not perfect. People will do what they will do - I'm not the only one who has "caused trouble" before... in fact, it's a rarity.

but WHATEVER.......
