We use Viber a lot, but not sure if that is a feature.  If you are on a phone, can't you take a screenshot during the chat where both parties are on the screen?

Screenshots are easy as are dual photos in skype but nothing is of any value without a date stamp by the program so that the interviewer may consider the document as evidence of an ongoing relationship.  BTW, I gave up on viber when they wanted to charge me money.

Viber doesn't charge money

I have my workers all use to exchange pics and text and video call, I also use it internationally

Well, they wanted to charge me money.  Thanks for all the info but I still need to know if anybody time/date stamps the pics they allow the user to make.

I can't think of any app that does this. I think @Bill & Katya presents a good solution. Another solution would be to take a screenshot of the video chat while you're talking, and then take another screenshot of the chat messages afterwards. In some apps, such as Naver Line and Facebook Messenger, it will show a message that says "The video chat ended" and have a timestamp on that. Put together, that could be considered evidence that you chatted at xyz time/date.

Often people on VJ will tell you that chats/photos are all secondary evidence, however, because they can all be faked. It would be easy for someone to just photoshop the time/date on a screenshot, for example. So while chat evidence will be good to include if you don't have other forms of evidence, I wouldn't stress too much about how you present time stamps. :)

Good luck!

I believe Viber only charges when you want to use it to call any phone number or landline.  Viber to Viber video calls are still free except for data charges if not using WiFi.  I think Skype does the same sort of charging for App to phone call, not sure about WhatsApp.

The other way is to do video call on skype and/or facebook messenger once a while from computer/laptop and take the screenshot of the computer screen as it displays the date/time.

However i don’t think one need to go to that level. Few video call screen shots along with other screen shots showing logs should be good.

First of all, I always use my desktop computer to video call.  FB Messenger does NOT allow taking snapshots of the participants but skype does however it does not provide any form of time/date stamping with the pics.  Second, the date & time displayed by Windows can be changed to whatever you want it to be.  BTW, what "logs" are you talking about?

I was talking about taking the screenshot of the  entire computer screen so it grabs everything using snipping tool or print screen feature of the computer.

I wish it were that simple.  the time displayed by windows in the lower right corner of the screen can be changed to anything you want it to be.  Sorry.  Thanks anyway.

"Overthinking" seems to be a popular terminology on VJ.  I think what it really means is that somebody else thought of something you didn't.  I don't see the down side to considering all aspects of any situation.

You're right and I feel pretty stupid to admit that I've spent so much time trying to do something properly that I forgot how easy it is to fake.  Now i don't know what evidence I can offer that can't be faked.

Have you tried Discord?

I have skimmed over the Wikipedia description of Discord and can't find any indication one way or the other but the application sounds complicated.  do you use it?  I don't want to go to the trouble of learning it only to find it doesn't have any form of date stamping.  Is there a forum where I can ask some questions of users?
