Hello all! You can call me Riah, I'm a 20yr/old American girl who's madly in love with a 20yr/old Belgian named Elroy.

We met online and started dating officially on June 5, 2017. He's visited me once, I've visited him twice. All told, we've spent something like 189 days physically together. The goal, of course, is to be able to spend every day together.

My last visit was Dec. 27th through March 26th, this year. Since I got back, I've been trying to balance the transition back into day-to-day life without him (dealing with things like new full-time job with 40+ hour schedule, studying for my driver's license, minor health issues) while also trying to navigate the K1 visa process.

My progress has been incredibly slow, I was supposed to finish gathering all the photos of us together today but I got sidetracked in the worst way when I couldn't find the boarding pass for my latest visit. Now I'm super frustrated and discouraged.

Hopefully this forum can help give me the support and answers I've been lacking so far, and maybe make the rest of this journey a little easier.

You really only need to demonstrate having met once in the past two years to qualify to petition him.  If I were you, I would focus on the financial aspect more.  At 20, you may struggle to earn enough to sponsor him.

Have you looked at that yet?

I've heard that there are financial requirements but I haven't really found any guide or information on them yet.
