Hello!

We submitted our application a week ago but now I am worried that we didn't have enough evidence attached. Now that I think about it there may be red flags if someone from outside the relationship looks at it.

My fiancè and I met online in 2017 and we had been together since. In December 9. 2018, he visited me here in Italy and he stayed here until February 28, 2019. We got engaged in January 26, 2019. We attached proof of our meeting and travels -  photos of us together in front of famous landmarks, his airline tickets and boarding passes. But should we have included a "how we met" story? From the dates I mentioned it would appear as tho we met in December and got engaged shortly after, when in reality we have been together for more than a year before being together physically.

You timeline is almost IDENTICAL to mine. Met online in 2017, flew out to him in Dec 2018, got engaged in Jan and I was only there 3 weeks. We sent everything you sent which are crucial with our petition so you did good, and we got approved. Dont worry, you are good.

Don't need photos or anything technically. Just proof of meeting within 2 years. So the passport stamps and boarding passes would suffice, anything extra is just extra. I'm not sure why this " How we met " story letter got started, but not needed. Just a few intent to marry letters at the most, and those are maybe 3- 4 lines of text each.

Here on a K1? Need married and a Certificate in hand within a few hours? I'm here to help. Come to Vegas and I'll marry you Vegas style!!   Visa Journey members are always FREE for my services. Thank you so much! Did you also send signed letters from friends/relatives and screenshots of your conversations?

Affidavits (signed letters) are generally thought of as second level evidence and carry little weight. Send in a sampling of your conversations, but don't go overboard. Send in a balanced mix of ALL of the types of evidence.

Good luck on you immigration journey.

  • Love story letter is not needed and when it becomes a requirement then USCIS will let us know.
  • Signed letters from others have no weight. The reason is very simple: will your relatives or friends telling bad thing about you two when you personally ask them to write you letters?
  • For the approval of petition, chat logs are not needed but to be safe, have some ready for NVC/Consulate stage.
    • Around 1/2-1 page for each month worth of chat logs - may not be asked at all but just in case.

No letter from friends or relatives but we will get those for interview. I'd rather have MORE for that stage then less. I did however send about 4 pages of chats (6 screen shots per page) and 2 pages of video with my fiance and with his parents (8 screen shots on one page) and included those as additional evidence along with 8 color photos of us.
