EAD and AOS in light of fee increases?

Since as of July 30 the AOS fee will be $1,010 and the EAD fee will be $340....................do people who have filed both suggest that folks just forgoe the EAD filing after that date?

This really sucks lemons.

It's a personal choice. You might get stuck in namecheck for a year or more (& not be able to work if you didn't apply for EAD). You might get approved for your GC in 70 days.

Really? I thought the form for the AOS cost $1,010 and the form for the EAD cost $340. Are you saying that the info you file for AOS automatically enrolls you in the EAD process?

No. I'm saying that under the new fee structure there will be no fee for an I-765 or an I-131 when an I-485 is pending.

Really? I thought the form for the AOS cost $1,010 and the form for the EAD cost $340. Are you saying that the info you file for AOS automatically enrolls you in the EAD process?

My understanding is that you'll have to pay the new I-765 fee if you submit it after (or is it on or after?) July 30. You've submitted you I-485 under the current fee structure, I-765 and I-131 fees are not covered by the current I-485 fee.

My understanding is that you'll have to pay the new I-765 fee if you submit it after (or is it on or after?) July 30. You've submitted you I-485 under the current fee structure, I-765 and I-131 fees are not covered by the current I-485 fee.
