Is it possible to find the form(s) and dates of previous filings I made with USCIS? About 10 years ago I know I filed an I-130; but now looking at the info here I may have also filed an I-129 for my wife at the time. We have since then divorced. I searched the USCIS site and couldn't find any search option for past filings.

I recently filed a I-129 for my fiance. And on the i-129 there's a question about having previously filed any other 129's. I responded no, thinking I had only filed an i-130. Second question is if I am able to find past filing info, is there a way to amend the current i-129 if needed?

I know I should have asked this sooner, but I knew I had filed the i-130 and it didn't occur to me that I may have filed both applications.

Thanks for any help.

That is a good question. Dunno if USCIS has that info available for you? Have you contacted USCIS? One thing you should keep in mind if you do ask,

Form I-129   =  Petition for Nonimmigrant Worker

Form I-129F = Petition for Alien Fiancee(e)

Good luck on your visa journey.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)

i-129F I meant. No I didn't call USCIS; from what I was reading it sounded like that wasn't an option; maybe I was misinformed.  Thanks for the reply.

Dunno if it is or isn't. Perhaps others can answer better. Short of that nothing ventured, nothing gained. One thing, it would probably help if you had receipt numbers or case file numbers....

Yes it would help if I had those, but unfortunately all of my documents are now abroad in an apartment I have there...basically a storage unit for my belongings. And I don't currently have access to it.

2 questions:

1. can I get a history of my past filings with USCIS?

2. If I had previously filed an I-129F along with the I-130; can I amend the current i-129F I filed to include the previous i-129F (if any)? I don't have access to my records at this time.

thanks

They will find your previous filings when they do a background check on you in a few months.  Contact USCIS and ask for a tier 2 supervisor.  You could submit an amended petition with correct answers, say yes to Q 43 and estimate the date of the previous filing, it doesn't have to be exact.  I had a previous I-130 filing 25 years ago so said yes to the question about previous filings on the I-130 I submitted last year and put the estimated date and was approved at USCIS, now we're at NVC stage waiting for an interview for my husband.  Good luck!

Thank you, I believe you’re right. I also found other posts with similar situations and they contacted USCIS, and were able to submit a corrected petition.

I will call them tomorrow. I appreciate your response

In case anyone else needs to know you can call USCIS to get this information. I had to wait on hold about 1 hour. But the representative was able to view my filing history. I hadn’t previously filed an I129F, only the I130. So I don’t need to correct my current filing
