Call the county and ask. Mine requires the SSN if you have it, but after explaining the situation I was informed we did not need it. So we'll probably get the certificate before the SSN depending on when he gets the visa.

Mailed AOS, EAD and AP Sept 11 '07

Recieved NOA1's for all Sept 23 or 24 '07

Bio appt. Oct. 24 '07

EAD/AP approved Nov 26 '07

Got the AP Dec. 3 '07

AOS interview Feb 7th (5 days after the 1 year anniversary of our K1 NOA1!

Stuck in FBI name checks...

Got the GC July '08

My fiancee will come to US next month.

Can I apply for the marriage certificate before apply for the Social Security Number? Does she need the SSN to apply the marriage certificate?

depending on the State some require the SSN to get a marriage license.

Contact the courthouse and find out what the requirements are!
