I have lived many years in Kenya, and before i left i made police certificate, i sent copy of that to NVC in IV package. but now before going for interview i wonder if i should have apostilized certificate.

Did anyone have this type of situation and does anyone know if police certificate should have apostile?

Thank you. were you in similar situation?

Apostille is not required for any immigration documents.   Department of State has document reciprocity with nearly every country

I don't know how much more clear I can be.  NOT required.  If you did it for reasons other than  immigration purposes for your marriage certificate that is different,  but if only for immigration purposes,  you didn't need to.

YMMV

thank you again, i believe you. the reason i got worried is because for ir some reason on usa embassy page in Costa Rica is written that all civil documents that are not from CR should be attested.

I would reread that because I don't believe that is what it says.

Follow the instructions where your interview will be.  Each country's embassy or consulate will send you what you need to bring to the interview, they each have their own policies so follow them.  Any questions, contact the embassy where the interview will be.
