Frustrating, yes. We all have had to endure the wait, it's a risk we all assume for marrying overseas.

Is your case refused or in AP? Because those are two completely different things and AP is normal. It can take days or weeks or months and no amount of inquiries will change that.

If your case was acurlaky refused then well, probably gotta get married and apply for cr1 Visa

221g is technically a denial. Every visa is either denied or approved. There is no “in-between”

That’s fine. As mentioned, you just have to wait until AP is complete. There is nothing or noone can speed that up.

Your is visa was refused under 221g. That refusal can be overcome after they finished the AP and find that you are eligible for the visa. In that case, the CO will overcome the 221g in your record and issue the visa.

Its a soft refusal. " Refused for administrative processing" is the term they reply when you inquire.

She is already married to a green card holder.

Proof of bonafide relationship = time spent together, joint accounts (if possible), Wills,  Life insurance policy.  There are guides on the site that can be helpful.  Unfortunately the children are not evidence and will not expedite your case.    There is nothing you can do to speed the process.  Administrative Processesing is different for everyone and no-one can predict the outcome.
