I wouldn’t email NVC query. It’s a general emails for questions. I would use portal. 
 

Question you should be asking NVC is whether upgrading your case will help speed up the process. Remember if you get interview today and you go in as US citizen but petition was green card, they will ask for proof. 
 

I wouldn’t make any changes since you are close to interview, if upgrading helps then do it.

okay it was USCIS who updated my petition over the phone. Yea NVC doesn't update over the phone.

 

Did you update it at portal (CEAC) website? whats the status now

I uploaded on the portal as well as sent the email on the NVC Inquiry form. Have not heard back anything yet.

True that. Issue is if F2A is current there shouldn’t be priority in scheduling. Earlier DQs should be picked regardless. Anyhow, let me know if you hear back anything on your expedite mail.

My status is now CR1. I
