How crucial are the tax records at the interview stage? (Amsterdam)

Hi all, i'm wondering how important the tax records are at the interview. We're in a bit of a complicated situation with my fiancée's taxes. She basically hasn't filled these last few years, her dad opened a business under her name and was supposed to do so but he neglected it so now she's trying to get it all fixed but its going to take some time.

She'll be able to get all the other stuff (w2/paystubs/bank letter/statement from employer) so i'm wondering if that might be enough? I saw someone mention that you can explain the situation in a letter and they might accept that. I know they're crucial for the AOS, but i'm hoping that at this step they're not the end of the road.

Well obviously she needs to take care of these things... for a lot, if using current income, paystubs (recent say 3 months worth), W2's, and letter from employer suffice. This is definitely though perhaps embassy specific as they each can be unique in their desired requirements.

Go into your profile and set your 'home country' as Amsterdam, then you can go into 'Portals' tab up top and go to the Amsterdam forum where you will find country specific threads and topics and other members there.

Also maybe can find some info here at the consulate reviews: https://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Netherlands&cty=Amsterdam

Thanks for the tip! I had no idea you could see it country by country like that. I'll have a look there.

Also, now that we have the case number, is it possible to track it anywhere online to see of they've shipped it off to the embassy over here yet?

Ceac.state.gov

YMMV

Figured i'd try to get this anwsered here since i dont want to clog up the forum.

We got the Tax Returns, but they have giant CLIENT COPY watermarks on all the pages. Will that be an issue for them? I can remove them in adobe if it is.

Non-issue, if they are legible.
