Haven’t received NOA1, filed from abroad

Hello, so I am currently staying with my fiancée in England and will be returning soon, however we decided that sooner is better than later, and filing the petition from England and just sending it next day to the Lewisville address would be our best option after reading about how a couple of people sent their petitions from abroad and not seeing anything indicating that this would be an issue on the USCIS website. It was signed for on the 8th of May, but I still haven’t received any email, any text, no check cashed, and my family hasn’t received any mail addressed to me. Did I do something wrong, or is this normal?

We have seen that NOA1's are issued about 2-4 weeks after receipt of the application I-129f. If they have also cashed your check then you can pretty much be assured that you are good to go for the long wait.

Thanks! So after the receipt? I haven’t gotten a receipt or anything, is that normal? I’ve been looking on people’s timelines and seeing where it says “I-129F sent”, does that reference when the person mails the packet or when they receive a text/email?

Your receipt will be mailed to the petitioner in about 2-4 weeks average after they receive your application. "Sent" is when you actually send (mail) the package to USCIS.
