I have a Question for the ones who have filed their AOS? Ruchie and Mathew will be here June 15th and we are wanting to file the AOS before the Fees Increase! Do you think it is possible to get Married, get SSN,fill out I-435 form and all supporting Documents in time before the fee increases? We would have approximately 6 weeks to do all this after she arrives here..... It just seems like we would be really pushing it! What do you Think????:wacko:

I think you can do it. You don't need the SSN for your AOS, the only thing you have to do is get maried. Hassan arrived Dec 16, we got married Dec 29 and filed for AOS Jan 8...entirely possible, you got a month and a half.

Jun 26, 06 - 129-F filed

Sep 27, 06 - NOA2

Nov 28, 06 - INTERVIEW SUCCESS!!!

Dec 12, 06 - VISA IN HAND

Dec 29, 06 - MARRIED!!

Jan 8, 07 - filed for AOS and EAD

Apr 3, 07 - EAD approved!!!

Apr 7, 07 - EAD card arrived!

May 10, 07 - Interview....APPROVED!!!

May 23, 07 - GC in hand

Feb 10, 09 - I-751 sent to CSC

Feb 12, 09 - NOA1

Give everything a try! I got my SSN under my married name before I submitted the AOS, sheer luck. At least 15 stressful business days before I mailed off my AOS application, including the I693 vacc supplement signed and sealed by the CS. And it wasn't planned nor thought for prior my Philippine departure (nor were we a member of any forum long enough to be confident of our options at the time). You have the VJ advantage now, best of luck!
