Hi! Thank you.

Yes, I’ve read that as well but can you state what’s wrong about her cheque? And why there is a stamp of “U.S. Department of Homeland Security Citizenship and Immigration Services”?

Did she ever show the notice? I kinda like skipped through it but maybe I missed it. If she didn't then she's just making up a dramatic video for nothing. It wasn't about her check. Beside why use a check. Use a credit card. Get insant notification when they process it.

Are you sure the problem was the check?

Thank you sir. But since I guess the “dollar” word made me realize that maybe it is the error on that check, i will just then follow what uscis’ site says which is payable to

“U.S. Department of Homeland Security”

Follow what the USCIS website states....can't get more updated than that.

Also, please ensure that you make the cheque out for the proper amount pertaining to what you are paying for.....for example, ensure filing fee plus biometrics fee is the total amount on the cheque and not filing fee only.

The Memo portion of the cheque can have the reason the cheque is being prepared. For example (blank) APPLICATION FEES......where (blank) is the application type - K1, CR1, EB, and so on.

It’s very possible that the person in the video had their check sent back with their paperwork because there was an issue with their paperwork that they discovered after stamping the check.

Either way ive always written checks and it’s always been to U.S. department of homeland security with either nothing in the memo or the form numbers

If I understood the ridiculous video correctly, she never send cheque with her packet at all. She said packet sans the cheque, then send cheque separately a few days later. Then she somehow voodooed herself into believing it needs that extra words on it.

Say what you will about USCIS but giving their provided image and explanation on their website, I don't know how they can get any more clearer than that outside of dispatching a person to your house to write a cheque for you.
