Hello guys, the beneficiary is from Brazil,
We have received our notice from the NVC that our case is moving to the embassy in Rio de Janeiro, but when I check the case status on CEAC  it says: "No Status".
Our lawyer has submitted our DS-160 and we have the confirmation number, but the "No Status" bothers us.
Is it normal? Should we be worried?

What does your attorney say about it?

"The US immigration process requires a great deal of knowledge, planning, time, patience, and a significant amount of money.  It is quite a journey!"

Are you checking on the immigrant tracker?

YMMV

Go to ceac.state.gov and enter "immigrant" then add your case number. It should give you the status of your case.

Hey there... how long from the point all the CEAC docs were accepted did it take you to receive notice that your case was being moved to the consulate in Rio? Did you have to contact anybody or did they do it on their own?

I’m asking cause we got notice our docs were accepted 3 weeks ago and still have not heard about an interview date or anything since them. TIA

CR and K1 visas work differently. So I'm not sure that this will be very helpful to you. For k1 visas, we don't have to submit docs. For our K1 it took just over 4 weeks after a case number being assigned being contacted by NVC that our case was being sent to Rio. About 3 days for our status to change to ready to signing up for an interview.

Hey are you talking about NVC (that happens after the NOA2)? Our lawyer had to call NVC after passed four weeks without any notice and he said as they were having problems with the system then he had to make it "manually". I suggest you call NVC.

Ok thank you I’m glad you said that. I’ll give them a call and see what they say. Once they were able to manually give you a date... how far out was that date?

Oh and I’m talking about the CR1 visa after you submit and upload all your docs into the CEAC page you have to wait for an interview date.. I’m trhinf to get a timeframe on that
