Is our attorney allowed to release Information to the beneficiary?

We recently got our I-129f approved , we have an attorney on the case. I am the beneficiary of the visa, can our attorney release fee and notice information To me or does the petitioner only have rights over the information ?

Technically since you're both involved they should be able to release info to you also. Again you're involved so not like come attorney-client privilege that would hinder you from knowing things, but might just be easier for the them to contact and inform the petitioner instead.

That may depend on who is on the contract with the attorney. In my case, we are both on the contract with the attorney. My case may be different, as we filed concurrently from inside the US.

I have found in my experience whoever is paying the attorney has the control over what they do. Unless you are a co-applicant on the attorney's records, they may not tell you much. Especially if it is a US based attorney.

The petitioner can tell the attorney to also answer to you I would say.

I would assume you do not want get the info from the petitioner then: the best way to find out is to contact the attorney.

It depends on who's on the contract with the attorney. If it's just the petitioner, he can still give the attorney a notice that you're allowed to receive infos about it too, but I believe you need to do that separately in a written manner if this is the case.
