Scheduling before "Ready" status

If you schedule far enough out you should be OK.  I think they have been cracking down on people who schedule too early.  There were a few threads a few months ago about interviews being cancelled.  I haven't heard anything lately at all about it.

What happens if someone schedules the interview before it says "Ready"?

I noticed that since the cases shipped yesterday that the number of May 30th interview slots are booking up fast. I'm assuming people are scheduling their interviews before the cases arrive in Manila.

Files shipped yesterday will show ready by Friday or Monday

YMMV

Yea, I figured they would be ready by then but I'm waiting for the status to show "Ready" but in the meantime I'm watching the May 30 slots fill up and wondering if others are just scheduling theirs ahead of the shipment delivery date. June 6 slots are all gone already.

As John said the embassy had been cancelling interviews with some, and in some of those cases the person had to contact the embassy to get the scheduling option reset to even allow them to reschedule.   When there were more and more reports of instances like that I started to recommend waiting for the CEAC status to show READY or the person received the embassy letter which they email  or mail (< good luck getting that with PhilPost)

What you decide to do is up to you.

Ya I think since I changed my recommendation on in the guide fewer people were chancing scheduling early.

Ah the good old days ...  I think there was a rumor of a new shirt & tie at the embassy as there were a bunch of small changes all at once
