Hi,

I received a letter today that my case (from VSC I-751 divorce after applying for ROC) is being transferred to National Benefits Center, so they can schedule the interview.

Anyone have experience with that?

Thanks.

Yep, same for me, but I’m not divorced. They may schedule an interview, or they may not. Anyways your case is going to your local office.

Do you know if there is any wait time average?

I don’t know. I think it’s all depends on how backlogged is your local office. I’m currently waiting for 161 days, but I’ve seen some people getting an approval in less than 30 days since transfer to NBC.

Hey all,

Sorry been a bit quiet since Part 1 of this thread.  After a long haul, I randomly received an online case update saying, "On October 16, 2019, we updated your date of birth for your Form I751".

Was confused to say the least so quickly opened an SR in case of typographic error.  Then that same night got another update, "On October 16, 2019, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number WAC18030xxxxx"

Best part was today when it said Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity, "On October 17, 2019, we approved your Form I751"

Had RFE which was reviewed for 156 days... and glad to finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.  Filed ROC on 10/30/2017 and glad to have made it before the 2 year mark -- tired of waiting.  A bit delayed but we also filed N-400 07/14/2019 but to my surprise they hadn't combined it, so my filed stayed as CSC and must have been already too far down the path of review -- glad the RFE response probably helped nudge it over the finish line.

Just anxiously awaiting for the approval notice and green card itself.  Best of luck everyone -- keep ya head up!

Congrats! You filed ROC on the same day as I did. But I’m still waiting.

Thanks!  Hope you hear something soon.  Are you WAC or EAC?  Did you file for N-400 as well?

I’m EAC. No, haven’t filed n-400. Waiting for the interview supposedly. 6 months of waiting for interview already.

Sorry for not responding earlier. I didn't get a notification.

The explanation I received from my lawyers was that the previously scheduled interview was cancelled because the local field office intended to consolidate the I-751 and the N-400 interviews but had not yet received the I-751 file and mistakenly scheduled the appointment before the file was consolidated. Then I moved away from CA, which I already had planned months before the interview was scheduled, and the same week my new interview was due in 2 weeks. Since I had to inform them of my change of address, the interview was cancelled a second time. Then my lawyer intervened and filed a request to expedite the adjudication of my naturalization/removal of conditions application, due to government error.

Last week, I had my interviews in CA, my I-751 was approved, and my N-400 was recommended for approval in my new jurisdiction. Yesterday, I checked my status and it said that they've mailed my new card.

I still don't know if or when my N-400 will be approved, but the officer who interviewed assured me that I would receive a notification about it soon. Fortunately, I could afford a lawyer to help me with my case. Otherwise, I would still be waiting.
