So it’s been 3 business days so far. Hopefully you should see update by the end of this week. What did USCIS wanted in rfe?

They wanted more evidence. My divorce happened after applying jointly. So now i sent my divorce decree and all evidence and requested for waiver.

After how long they call for an interview; after responding to RFE?

Just an update after me amending my case to divorce on my interview date aug 9th, I got an update saying my case was transferred to another office . My local office is CSC. And I don’t know if this is a bad thing. Anyone with similar situation?

So you already went for i751 interview and now they transferred your case? Where is it transferred? Isn’t your case in local office already? Btw, how was the interview? What did they asked you?

My RFE deadline was 11th and according to FedEx the document was delivered on 8th but USCIS case tracker says that they received it on 13th.

is that fine?

Thank you! Yes hopefully even though I feel like there are important informations that I just totally forgot and I talked a lot , it feels as if I was talking to a therapist or a friend which I know they said don’t talk too much. But she was nice in general that’s prolly why it felt comfortable. The only additional evidence I added was text messages and she asked she doesn’t see the dates or year and I said there are some with dates and others are continuation. Coz Idk for iMessage it doesn’t show year or every date of a message and Ofcourse I didn’t print everything , only those substantial tryin to save those papers for our environment. Lol I’m kidding. Just tryin to make us all relax. Also she didn’t ask for anything else even my birth certificate which is still currently in hongkong right now in transit. It didn’t come on time for my interview. Just a screenshot of my husbands IG post when I investigated how I found out he was cheating bec we both deleted our social media before due to jealousy. And I told her I don’t have any other additional evidence. She didn’t ask for photos either. Even my entry documents.

Anyway my case is very complicated I guess more complicated than everyone has here. So don’t worry I believe y’all would have your approval soon.

How long it takes to get the card?

Applied jointly October 2017 CSC, case transfered to Vermont on the start of 2019. Got rfe feb 2019 responded on march and no word from Vermont for +145 days! Contacted Congresswoman office and they sent inquiry to Vermont on the 9th August, they got a response on the 15th that my case is pending review with an officer, the 16th August got approved.

Btw i got a divorce finalized 4 weeks ago and sent the decree to Vermont with a letter explaining all the circumstances of the marriage and divorce.

Sometimes the tracker is slow to update, but again, you never know. I think you should call USCIS for clarification and get an update on your case too.

You should give them a call or reach out to your local congressman/woman. It's been way too long. I remember my attorney told me that they have 120 days to adjudicate the since after receiving RFE.

I have reached out to my local congressman already a month ago. Congressman made a congressional inquiry and USCIS responded that they “anticipate to schedule my interview in next 60 days”. So far it’s been 2 weeks and nothing. My case is not in the “response to rfe received” status. My case was transferred to NBC and later to my local office for interview. It’s been 139 days since transfer.

my case was exactly like yours. divorce while i751 is pending.

they sent me RFE first and i did responded.

divorce was finalized and i sent them a copy with letter from marriage counseling and a letter i wrote my self with all the circumstances of the marriage and the divorce. been +145 after i sent the response to the rfe and no decision. contacted congresswomen office and they sent inquiry on my behalf, they got an answer from Vermont  august 15th that case pending review with an officer. august 16th case was approved with no interview. i didn't had interview for the conditional green card neither for the ROC.  so my advice is contact you congress office.

I am sorry to hear that. Have they provided you any update on your I-751 status?

Sorry for not responding earlier. I didn't get a notification.

The explanation I received from my lawyers was that the previously scheduled interview was cancelled because the local field office intended to consolidate the I-751 and the N-400 interviews but had not yet received the I-751 file and mistakenly scheduled the appointment before the file was consolidated. Then I moved away from CA, which I already had planned months before the interview was scheduled, and the same week my new interview was due in 2 weeks. Since I had to inform them of my change of address, the interview was cancelled a second time. Then my lawyer intervened and filed a request to expedite the adjudication of my naturalization/removal of conditions application, due to government error.

Last week, I had my interviews in CA, my I-751 was approved, and my N-400 was recommended for approval in my new jurisdiction. Yesterday, I checked my status and it said that they've mailed my new card.

I still don't know if or when my N-400 will be approved, but the officer who interviewed assured me that I would receive a notification about it soon. Fortunately, I could afford a lawyer to help me with my case. Otherwise, I would still be waiting.
