Quick question.  I am little worried because my usc spouse started a new drama recently after I got 10 years approved greencard. Before approval, she used to threat me with false domestic violence and divorce every time if she got mad or if things didn't go in her way.  Now days if we get in argument ,she said she will go to immig officer and say false stuff about our marriage and have me out . She have lot ego and anger . Well, she cooled down couple of days later and we started talking little. I am wondering if immig officer will believe on her false  statement and question me .

USCIS may not necessarily do anything, but this can sit on the record and create problems during the citizenship process.

You may want to collect some evidence. Is it legal in your state to record conversations you are involved in without the other party's consent? If she texted you any of those things, be sure to hold on to those texts.

You can file for citizenship soon. Maybe you want to do that without telling her. I know it's not exactly a good idea to do this behind one's spouses back, but you're in a bit of a pickle.

I’m so sorry that you have to go through all this... keep us posted if Congress representative helps.

Quick recap

Oct 23 2017 i filed i 751, still pending. Same as others NOA said it was transferred to vermong january 4 2019, when i called the automated said laguna niguel.

May 20 2019, finished my n400 civics and passed BUT IO cannot approve it without the 751 approval first.

Ive been filing the "out of processing time" inquiree every 2 months, last one they said they will get back to me august 2, its already august 3 and no update still. The IO said ita usually 30 days for me to get the update and i should wait til august 10th since i filed july 10th.

This is so frustrating, whats taking them so long? I cant apply for a new job or even get my life insurance approved because some companies dont accept the I551 stamp, i even showed them the letter from my n400 interview stating i passed the civics but cannot approve without the 751.

Congress or senate suggestions, how do i do that? Just got to their office? Or call them? And what are they going to do? Call uscis or swnd them a letter?

Yes, it’s really frustrating. I’m still here, just like you, waiting. So, what I did was: I found out who is my congressman for my district, went to his website. There was a link “to get help with federal agency”. There was a little form which I filled out and sent. Next morning I already got email from representative of my congressman’s office. They asked me to filled up one more form and provide them with some more USCIS details, including correspondence letters. I sent all the needed info back right the way on the next day. 2 days later they sent me email that my congressman sent congressional inquiry to USCIS on my behalf and they should get back response in 30 days. It’s only been a week, so far no news. I don’t know if this will help, but at least I tried. You can do the same way: reach out online or send a letter or even show up at your congressman’s office. These are all valid ways to get help.

Your case might be in an  offsite stotage facility like mine in Vermont. I also applied October 2017, nd my case was transferred from California to Vermont.

Oh my, 120 days after response to rfe that’s just inhuman. Technically, you should be approved any day. If they haven’t transferred you to local office to have an interview, they should approve you. What are you planning to send them with the divorce decree?

After how many days the USCIS updates the status “Received Response”; after sending the RFE?

Yeah, I sent inquiry online, and they told me ur case is in an off site storage facility, and they are going to request it. It's  been more than one month and still nothing. I will go Monday to Congresswoman office and have them inquire about my case.

Tier 2 is a lie, i got a call from a "tier 2" and she didn't even know where my case is, she said its in california but its in Vermont. She seem doesn't know anything about the process and how it works, so i am 100% sure she wasn't a tier 2 officer. Your case can be like mine, in storage facility for sure, i sent to inquiry first one response was we are still processing your case.second respens to my second inquiry was it's in a storage facility.

For me it took less than a week in between sending documents in response to rfe and seeing an update on the case tracker. But I used fedex next day delivery, so if you use regular mail maybe a couple of days longer.

I used fedEx next day delivery and it reached there on last week 8th August.

So it’s been 3 business days so far. Hopefully you should see update by the end of this week. What did USCIS wanted in rfe?
