Vaccination question (pregnant wife during K-1 process)

Hello everyone,

My wife's K-1 visa was approved and she arrived in the united states back in November of 2018. However, she was pregnant at the time so she did not receive all of her vaccines. She also didn't have any childhood records. So, on her vaccination documentation the doctor put "c" (contraindicated) for the majority of her vaccines. My wife has since given birth, and  I am now about to send off her forms for her adjustment of status, and understand that she will have another biometric screening done.

My question is:

Should she go get the required vaccinations before her biometrics appointment, or should she wait, and they can give them to her at the appointment? Thanks in advance!

At the biometrics appointment they will only get her picture taken, fingerprints and signature.

its up to you to find an accredited doctor in your area to get her vaccines done and fill te i693. That costs quite a lot so be prepared to shop around and spend the money

What does her Ds3025 Vaccination Record state on the bottom?

Is "K Visa Applicant voluntarily completed vaccination requirements" checked off?

This is a very good point. I was able to easily add my wife to my company's health insurance plan.  The  company plan paid for a good portion of the civil surgeon's fee. That certainly help soften the financial bite of the civil surgeon's appointment.

As an aside, my wife and stepson each had to see a civil surgeon, to add my stepson to my company's health insurance plan would have been prohibitively expensive (>$400/month !!). Since he was a young, healthy boy, we purchased, on the online insurance market, a general high-deductible catastrophic policy with a small dental and vision service included for about $225/month.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Then she received a waiver the day of her medical due to pregnancy. She will not need to redo anything.

What matters is she complied with the vaccination requirements on the day of her medical, not any time in the future. She was given a waiver. It doesn't matter that shes not pregnant now or does not have the vaccines. What matters is on the day of the exam she could not get them.
