Rose was DQ on May 1 but yesterday I checked CEAC and she was listed as "incomplete".  They were requesting another copy of her already accepted annulment paperwork.

I spoke to NVC.  They indeed had a glitch that added the additional requirements.  I was told to ignore it and my wife was still listed as DQ.  My problem now is that I uploaded what they asked for and that puts us off top the side for 3 weeks as they need to review the new submission.  Uploading the file they ask for added 3 weeks to the journey for us.  She said that all submitted files need to be reviewed so while still listed as DQ, she is no longer in the queue for an interview appointment.  The NVC woman was very nice.  She looked at all 3 cases and gave me updates.  I also messed up by submitting my transcript after our AoS was accepted.  That added 3 weeks too.  I went ahead and added the marriage certificate to my step daughter's petition as they had already requested that for my step son.  Now we are anticipating the AoS to be complete on May 21 and all three petitions should be accepted by June 3.  This really sucks but it is out of our hands.

Our expedite was approved because of school but at this point we have to pay the full year tuition in Manila since school will start before we interview.  No reason to expedite anymore as the money is gone and it isn't fair to the kids to have them sit home alone and wait while their friends are all in school.

DQ ?  Dairy Queen or Drama Queen ..     Tell her I was only joking, don't want to get smacked.  ;)

So out of the madness you ended up adding 6 weeks?  Ouch!     I am surprised you got an expedite because of school for the kids.  They will get no break this year, about the time they interview and get to the States school will be starting.

Hope everything goes much smoother now.

Technically we are still approved for the expedite.  I am hoping for a June interview but the window is closing fast.

Amen to that.  My mistake was uploading the file they requested me to upload.  There are a lot of people in that boat.  The poor NVC girl told me that a majority of her calls were for CEAC showing "incomplete" after the DQ letter notice was sent.  All those people who uploaded put themselves back 3 weeks.

Some sort of crossed wire between NVC and CEAC  if there is a large group  .. I would look for a loose nut in front of a monitor.

CEAC had some system maintenance late Sunday and it seems to have hit a lot of people with a false request.  And it is the loose nut's fault for reacting so quickly to the request when I knew something was up.

That's unfortunate that they snagged a bunch of people, your family included John.

Hopefully it won't take them the whole three weeks again. I think we had ~6 days from submitting all of the documents that the NVC asked for to being documentarily qualified the first time but I know they want to allocate themselves the full three weeks.

I had a different problem with CEAC recently, but it was before the recent maintenance. The interview check list from the embassy asked us to upload the CEMAR/CENOMAR for my wife, and no matter what browser I used it wouldn't complete the upload as an other document until much later in the evening. Fortunately that was submitted and available for the embassy to see before my wife's scheduled interview which is scheduled for next Monday.

Hopefully she will have good news about the medical by tomorrow (thursday in Manila) or maybe even today as this should be day one. She's planning on going in around 9 am now instead of waiting like the crazies at 1-4 in the morning. Each phase seems to have it's snags and the important thing is to stay vigilant and pay attention to the process.

Best of luck, and the hoops we must go through to be with the ones we love.

Oh yes. NVC doesn’t want anybody to get too comfortable. We know it will all be worth it but it sure would nice to have a few thing happen without the extra drama. Two steps forward, one step back.
