Today I just received my NOA2 for the K-1. Yea!!!

I am leaving for Peru on Thursday and will be there for 6 weeks. I doubt that the paperwork at the NVC will be processed and sent to Lima in time while I am still in the country.

Does anyone think it may be possbile for me to go the embassy next week with my NOA2 in hand and nicely request if they could proceed quickly with setting up an interview while I am in country.

I understand I do not have to be at the interview but it would be great if I could be there with Roxana. She will be very nevous.

Thanks, Kil

Of course not every case is the same, but my case can't have been at NVC for more than a few days, and it seems to be the same for most people (based on what I'm reading here). I'm thinking 6 weeks ought to be plenty for the Lima embassy to receive your case, though if you do not have all the paperwork ready already, that may take more than 6 weeks.

AS YOU ALREADY KNOW WE WENT THROUGH THE LIMA EMBASSY

IT TOOK REALLY ONLY ABOUT 6 WEEKS FOR US TO RECIEVE THE PACKET AND HAVE THE INTERVIEW

SO IF YOU ARE NOT LEAVING FOR A BIT

AND GOING TO BE THERE FOR 6 WEEKS

I THINK IT MIGHT HAPPEN WHERE YOU WILL BE THERE FOR THE INTERVIEW

I ALSO CALLED THE NVC, THEN THE PERU EMBASSY UNTIL I FOUND THE DATE OF THE INTERVIEW

I KEPT ON TOP OF IT. HAHAH MORE OR LESS

BUT I WOULD KEEP CALLING TO MAKE SURE IT HAPPENS

AND I SUPPOSE THAT IT WOULD NEVER HURT TO TALK NICE AND SAY PLEASE TO TRY TO GET THE INTERVIEW TIME FOR WHEN YOU ARE THERE, CALL DURING THE IMMIGRANT VISA HOURS!!

That would be great if your trip was the same time of the interview. Wishing you the best and it never hurts to try.
