Uploading 2018 Transcript before interview?

My husband's interview is next week and I'm worried that since my 2018 transcript is not uploaded to CEAC (It was not available to download at the time of submitting all docs to NVC) that they will try to turn my husband away and tell him he needs to upload that first before he can be approved. I see another VJ member whose wife had her interview in Casa yesterday was told this. One person advised me to just upload it now but then another told me its not a good idea. I just don't want to mess anything up. He has my 2018 transcript with him to bring to the interview but apparently they want it on CEAC instead. What should I do?? I'm so stressed.

I should also add our visa application status was updated on 4/15/19 (tax deadline and 4 days after we got the appointment letter) and then again on May 3rd. So I'm wondering if that's because the consulate was checking our file on CEAC to see if we uploaded the 2018 transcript.

Who wants it on CEAC? Just have him bring your 2018 transcript for the interview and he should be good. He may not even be asked for that.

The person you mentioned may not have brought the latest transcript so they told him to upload in CEAC.

No they did bring 2018 with them but the CO refused to accept it, he told them to upload it to CEAC AND send a copy of it with their passport to Aramex. This happened to more than one person at this consulate recently.

I am curious, if they weren't available for upload at the time of document submittal, why wait until a week beofre the interview to hurry and upload? Anyway, you were able to upload it now which is great but because it was after the fact , it may or may not be present for the interview next week, the best bet is to have it on hand and explain that you submitted a week prior, good luck.

I didn't upload it when I got it because I thought (as everyone else) that we just had to make sure we had the physical copy on hand to bring to the interview. I wasn't even sure if I was allowed to upload any other docs after getting case complete but I still had the "add documents" and "submit document" buttons available on my CEAC and when I started reading about all these other ppl that had interviews at Casa within the last day or so being turned away because they didn't upload 2018 transcript to CEAC,  I decided I would try to be proactive and upload it now while I still have the chance. Believe me I would've done it way sooner had I known the COs in Morocco would make a thing out of having it uploaded to CEAC.

To address your other point, I get what you're saying but since it's all electronic and the interview is still a week away, why wouldn't it be accessible to the CO by the time the interview comes? I imagine they would have immediate access to it now that it's been uploaded.

Oh no, I am not saying that they would not have access, I am just thinking in terms of them questioning it, I just think it would've been best to do it say last week or whatever but I totally understand your point. All should be okay since you will have a physical copy plus you uploaded it now, good luck.

I understand. Hopefully they will still consider it anyway. Thank you.

Me too, I am not sure how it works, but can't you go in and if they have any doubts you can answer, or maybe stay outside etc!

Although Casablanca doesn't allow the petitioner to go in with the beneficiary, I do think I'm able to go in afterwards or if they ask my husband to bring me in for further questioning/clarification. He's bringing my passport inside with him so they can see I am currently in Morocco with him. I'll be outside waiting on pins and needles😥

That must be nerve wracking for you, I can't imagine how intense that would be, how do you feel about things? Are you confident or worried about anything?Etc.

I didn't know that consulates do that, they all might have different ways of doing things.

Some allow the spouse to enter the consulate with them and some don't.

It's very nerve wracking. I'm tired, stressed, worried, everything. Our future together lies in the hands of another human. We have no control over it. I don't wanna say I'm confident, only in the sense that my husband feels good about the interview so it makes me feel a little at ease.
