I have had the form almost completely filled out twice and had it clear all the information.  I also can't type in all of the fields on the form.  Is there a way to save your work part way through and it is a must to type in all the information or can I print the form and hand-write the information in.  Thanks for any help or advice.

Print it and hand-write. Many must use hand-write for a few fields, I had to do it too.

Thank you. Is there a way to save what information you have entered in to come back to it later if completing online?

Please double check, I-129F is downloaded offline for editing. Just install Adobe Reader and download the form from USCIS and then locate the file on your Download folder - you will be able to save what you type.

The preview app on Mac OSX works fine.  For any field you can type into, just add a text field and type into that. Move the text field into the right place.

I don't have Mac OSX. I'm using a Windows OS. I ended up printing the entire application and filling it out by hand.  I couldn't get many of the fields to even accept text.

If an applicable field isn't accepting text for you

1) Try using Adobe Acrobat Reader. I do not believe that USCIS forms are tested in other PDF viewers/editors, and some of the validation scripts definitely do not work in some other programs.

2) Make sure you have answered any previous questions that would affect whether or not the question applies to you. You cannot put in an apartment # unless you check one of the APT / STE / FLOOR boxes, for example.
