Well I did the RFE trick again just to see if anything changed since last week, and I think the operator slipped up and gave up some info. about processing times.

He said that there weren't any RFEs on my file, and that it was still pending.

Afterwards I asked him how long should it take to get my case approved assuming everything is fine.

He tried to "read the script" , but he slipped up and said that they were currently up to speed on cases around FEB. 20th.

I asked about how the website said Nov., and he pretty much said, "don't worry about that, you should be set in a couple of weeks."

hopefully he's telling the truth....

USCIS website processing times reflect the *oldest* case they have not yet approved. That means they could have one unapproved case from November (namechecks, RFEs, etc.) and all the rest are up to date as of Feb. So best not to go by their processing dates and instead use VJ as an estimate.

Hah! that's great!

I wonder if the poor operator went home and lay in bed that night thinking, "aw, #######, what if my boss years and I get fired?"

HAHA that's hilarious...well if what the operator said is true...then February 20th is way past my date (19 days after I first filed at VSC before it got transferred to CSC)...maybe this means something good...then again the service centers are having issues with receipting and notifying us with NOA1s and NOA2s that those of us waiting could be approved and not know it (even when calling, checking e-mail, and online case status=no change due to backed up system)...

I have now switched to calling NVC in hopes that somewhere amidst my million useless touches...one was useful and got it approved and sent to NVC-------- YEAH RIGHT  good luck to all and hopefully we will all haer good news soon!!!!!!! :) i am hoping this week brings good news....:innocent:

whatever it takes...or how my heart breaks...i will be right here waiting for you... 636.gif

Lets hope so...my I130 was transferred on 11th May 2007 from VSC. My receipt date was 3rd Jan 2007, so I am keeping everything crossed that an approval is imminent. I will call CSC to see what is happening today. Is there a special number for CSC or do you just call the USCIS phone number?

I'm assuming that he meant "most" cases were caught up give or take 2-3 weeks.... hopefully there are just a few exceptions to this.

I think i'll try calling again tomorrow and see what they say then.

I just called USCIS main phone number to see what is happening with the case. They were not giving me as much info. They said I could be waiting until at least July before an approval :help: as they are processing cases from november 2006 (which I already knew)! Oh well...it was worth a go! I am praying for something in June anywayz as I see Jan and Feb filers are getting approved already!

Their posted processing dates are pure B.S. Our NOA1 was issues 8/2/2006. We have yet to receive ANY word of our status... despite USCIS being contacted by two separate congressman's offices...

I actually did and got the standard issue reply. Told him that I was a bit concerned with all the recent updates on my online profile & if he could confirm that no RFE was sent which I might not have received yet. The officer confirmed no RFE sent - & didnt go beyond whats already on the USCIS website . Saif they are processing stuff from Nov .
