Hello All, i have few questions i hope seniors would guide me up to their best.

K1 applicant already got the NVC letter through email and gave us a number ISL#......

when we track our case at CEAC website, i get the impression that the embassy will contact me so far the embassy did not contact me, today i called them to ask the further procedure but they told me that every thing is available on their website, but when i go to the website it doesn't have any info about K1.

so my question that does Embassy will contact me or i need to fill out DS-160 and arrange my interview date ?

Fill out de DS 160 AND APPLICANT STATEMENT. Attach both to an  email and send to embassy . They will not give you an appointment without that.,

Is that the process for Cuba?

That would fail miserably for me.  Every consulate has there own local process

E-MAIL  the consulate then. They will let you know that's the next step is.

Consulate in Guyana are very good at getting back to my e-mails. Good luck.

If things haven't changed, the beneficiary should receive an email from the embassy 3-4 weeks after the NVC forwarded the petition.  You can go ahead and fill out the DS-160.  We had actually scheduled the interview before getting the email from the embassy, because we didn't know there was an email coming.  But you would definitely want confirmation that they have your case before actually going to an interview.  You have to have an interview date before you are allowed to schedule the medical.

Here is what the email from the embassy said. Hope this helps.

We are pleased to inform you that our office has received the subject case from the National Visa Center to initiate the visa processing of this case.   Please follow the link below in order to get the complete information on “How to set an online appointment and what documents will be required at the time of interview?”

I am speaking about my experience  with my assigned consulate .

Good luck.

Reading your discussion I can see that you trying to help but @payxibka answered the OP's question with the correct link to the information he needed. The one bit of advise that I can give is that every embassy/consulate can be different in how they process the interview once the case arrives at their post. That's why payxibka challenged you on your information. I know you understand that a person would like to get the best correct answer to their inquiry. All the best to you.

Now that you have the information on how to proceed may I recommend that you search out your sub-forum where others there can help you with embassy specific questions.

Everything is pretty simple and straight forward. You just got to be patient and wait to hear from you USCIS or NVC, depending on what stage your case is currently at.

You need to start familiarizing yourself with the process by reading USCIS and NVC websites. Everything will come to you by time. Just wait for now and be patient.

This business is not for people looking for miracles to happen overnight :)

Here are the steps for US Embassy Islamabad from our personal experience and a few other VJ members from PAK.

  1. If you have the ISL number then you could fill out the DS-160 online.
  2. Once DS-160 is filled out and the CEAC website shows your file delivered at the embassy with status "READY" then create the profile on www.ustraveldocs.com and schedule an appointment.
  3. I recommend scheduling it more than 5/6 weeks ahead so you have enough time to get the medical done.
  4. There is a list of the apporved clinics on the embassy website where you could go for the medical.
  5. In 3/4 weeks you will also get an email from the Embassy to do the above steps. We didn't wait for the email and follow the above steps.

If you do K1 visa Islamabad search, you will find multiple posts with similar steps. Good Luck.
