Can vary. Usually think up to 30 days at most for them to respond to the paperwork, but then actual AP probably will begin. And that is open ended and can last 2-3 days, 2-3 weeks, 2-3 months, or even years. So patience right now is pretty much only advice.

The processing of additional documents normally add anywhere form a couple weeks to a month or so, although it can take longer if verification of the documents is necessary.

AP as a whole is an open ended process. Documents are one part, but it is possible there are additional items they need to review on their end. With Egypt in particular, extended background checks and/or a DS-5535 is not uncommon. There's no way to know how long AP will take beforehand, or what additional checks (if any) will come into play.
