How long to get certified marriage cert in Vegas?

Who here got married in Vegas?? How long did it take for you to obtain a certified copy of your marriage cert? Does it have to be the certified copy for AOS or can it be what you get on the actual wedding day? The reason I ask is because we are due to get married on the 12th July and want to apply for AOS before the fee changes on the 30th July. Thanks.

We were married in Vegas Apr 4th and recieved our certified copy may 9th. It takes about 1 month.

You need to have this for your AOS and not this you will get at your wedding day.

Thats not good - to save money we'll probably apply for my AOS before I get the cert and get a RFE .. if we have to wait that long ...

SAME DAY if you take the marriage license back to Clark County Clerk your self, instead of having the minister send it to them.

Good afternoon! I was freaked out by the upcoming fee increase too and was thinking I would need to change our wedding plans, but the increase is only $335. As of July 30, the cost for AOS and EAD & AP is $1010, the new fee is for all 3 together (check the uscis site, page 2, last paragraph http://www.uscis.gov/files/nativedocuments...dule052907.pdf). Current fees are AOS- $325, EAD =$180, & AP =170; a total of $675.

I said only $335, but that's a very expensive increase, but the money and effort we would have to put out to change our plans would cost us more monetarily and drain us physically and mentally.

Also, as others have suggested call be sure to call our clerk of courts. The website for ours in Louisiana says that we will get our marriage certificate in 30-40 days, but I called and they can do it the license, marriage, and certified copy of marriage certificate all in one day, if we arrive early enough.

we got married and live here in vegas.And we got our cert copy in ten days, but we paid 20 bucks more. Just tell the wedding chapel that you want to get is soon and they will be the one to process it in the county record bureau with few bucks more extra payment.

well, we got married and the minister who did our ceremony wasnt very helpful with spedding the process up and just told us that we should expect it after around 4 weeks once we sent the pink slip off. We sent the slip off while we were still in Vegas and went home. Not wanting to miss out on sending AOS before the fees increase we sent the AOS package off with a photocopy of the 'marriage certificate' we were given at the actual wedding, knowing that we probably will receive a RFE, but at least we wont be paying the higher fees! Well, yesterday we got the mail and guess what was in it? 2 certified marriage certificates from County Clark! It took a total of 1 week and 2 days! And that was without paying any xtra than the $10 per certified certificate!! If only we'd waited to send the AOS!!!!! ....

You will get nothing the date of the marriage that you could use. The person who marries you has to return the completed certificate to the Recorders Office after the ceremony and it is signed by the oficiate and the witnesses..

Seems to me that I was able to go to the Recorders Office about a week after we got married (I live in Clark Couty NV), and it had been recorded. You pay an extra $15 to have it certified. You can also do it by mail if you live out of the area. Ask for details when you get the license.
