Did you send in anything that proves the USC has sufficient income/assets to support you?

If not, then you probably will get an RFE.

A requirement for the I-485 is to have a sponsor. The sponsor must fill out and submit an I-864, accompanied by the most recent tax return and all supporting documents. Without this, your application is incomplete and you will either get an RFE or your entire AOS package will be sent back.
