I went with Marlene. I was able to be with her during the interview as well, but the CO interviewed only her.

I went with my fiancee since I live overseas with her and it was no problem. They did ask me some questions though along with her. But me being there only strengthened the application.

I also went with my fiance to her interview in Manila, and was allowed in the embassy for all part of the process including the interview itself i was asked only a few questions though, but i think it does only serve to strengthen your case to be together as couple.

Hi YES you can my fiance went with me and it was a scary day hehe bec. i couldn't hear wht the officer was saying so i answered wrong but i was able to get a visa hehe the officer will both interview you and it was 2 interview the first from filipino then second the american officer. Goodluck! my advice review your fiance's personal details. Like when did he came to the phils. How did u meet etc.

Hello Rusty ash, My suggestion would be to book your flight with open return(no xtra cost), then after visa is in hand , call the airline/ travel agent and have them book your return flight with a second one way ticket of the same intinerary. Depending on what airlines this is very possible, but beware sometimes it can be a week or 10 days before a flight is available for your open return date, depends on season.
