So my 18 month extension expired 2 days ago. Still haven’t heard a single word and when I called I was told that on their site it says 19 months is the processing time they are allowing and that it doesn’t matter that my extension has ran out. Been 5 weeks since my interview. So sick and tired of this now.

Sorry to know! If extension is expired  does anyone is allowed to work? or they have to take break from work till they get the response from USCIS?

Did you try to get a 551 stamp on your passport? If you call the main number and speak to an agent and speak to level 2 you should be able to get an appointment to do that.

According to my attorney and the level 1 person I spoke to, I can only get the stamp if I’m looking to travel and have the travel booked. Otherwise I’m just out of status which they said is no big deal. I’m just sick of being in limbo. I turned in a huge amount of evidence both when applying for roc and again at the interview. Married for 4 years now, and still being given the run around. I just don’t know what more they want.

In my experience, you are not out technically of status because your application is being processed but you can need to stamp to work, register for school, credit, your license etc. Steal takes the place of the extension letter. In any event I'm sure you will get an approval soon!!

Biometrics went pretty smoothly yesterday. I was in and out within 10 minutes.

This morning I received an email saying “We have taken an action on your case”, but nothing has been updated on the case tracker site. It’s just saying the same thing it has been since 6/19/19.

Posted

Ok, now I’m even more confused....

I received the below emailing this morning...

There has been a recent processing action taken on your case.

Receipt Number: XXXXXXXX

Application Type: I751, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS ON RESIDENCE

Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production

On August 6, 2019, the Post Office returned your document for your Form I751, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS ON RESIDENCE, Receipt Number XXXXXXXXX to us because they could not deliver it. We will hold your document for 180 days or until February 2, 2020. Please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we re-send the document to you, or contact the USCIS Contact Center at www.uscis.gov/contactcenter. If you do not submit an online request or call us by February 2, 2020, we will destroy your document and you will need to file a new Form I751, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS ON RESIDENCE, with fee. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

This step applies to applications that result in an applicant receiving a card (such as a "green card") or other document (such as a naturalization certificate, employment authorization document, travel document, or advance parole). Applications will be in this step from the time the order to produce the card/document is given until the card/document is produced and mailed to the applicant. You can expect to receive your card/document within 30 days of the approval of your application. If you do not receive your document, please contact our National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283

So, now I’m just lost. The first paragraph indicates I need to contact them, the second indicate I should just wait.

Bare in mind, I only had my biometrics taken on the 5th but somehow the card was created, mailed and sent back in 1 day??

That’s exactly what I thought, I don’t know how it went from me having biometrics on Monday morning to them mailing the card so quickly.

My case is at California Service Center

My case was transferred to local office. Does this mean they will schedule an interview? I applied for naturalization shortly after, so hopefully it will speed up my naturalization and be a combo interview as everything is in the local office. 75 days since they received my RFE response.

Thanks, i did call them and it took 45mins to speak to a representative and I asked them for the infopass appointment. They gave me a service item number and told me another officer will call me in 24-48 hrs. Hopefully they call soon!

I guess the “case tracker” system was acting funky.

Today looking at the history, my case was approved on 8/6/19, the card produced on 8/7/19 and mailed to me on 8/8/19.

What a roller coaster! Good luck to everyone still going through this process, I’m positive that this part of your journey is almost to an end.
